The consultant will support development of a national strategic plan aimed at strengthening the Social Service Workforce in Iran through a coordinated, strategic, and systems-level approach which contributes to workforce's ability to respond effectively and sustainably to complex social and protection challenges.
* Geographical Boundaries: National
* Population: Primarily social workforce and secondarily vulnerable children and their families.
The objective of this assignment is to provide comprehensive advisory support to PET digital systems by collaborating with concerned units to conceptualize and establish the new PET systems governance, operational and delivery models. The consultant will define the models, facilitate stakeholder review and support operationalizing the models. Additionally, the consultant will conduct a current state assessment and define future state and a 5-year roadmap of the PET systems.

The Child Protection Specialist reports to the Chief, Child Protection for guidance and general supervision. The Specialist supports the development and preparation of the Child Protection programme(s) in general and those related to the elimination of traditional practices harmful and adolescent girls’ empowerment, in line with UNICEF’s Strategic Plan, the UNICEF Niger Country Programme Document and the Child Protection section’s annual work plan. S/he is responsible for the management, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of the child protection programme component related to child marriage within the country programme. S/he is also responsible for advancing programmatic priorities in relation to adolescent girls, in close collaboration with other sections. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes. H/She facilitates the administration and achievement of concrete and sustainable contributions to national and international efforts to create a protective environment for children against all harm, and to protect their rights to survival, development and well-being as established under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, international treaties/frameworks and UN intergovernmental bodies.
The Specialist contributes to the achievement of results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), and UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.
