The main objective of the consultancy is to provide technical assistance to UNICEF Country Office in scaling up results in the area of meaningful youth engagement as agents of change in climate agenda through the expansion of the Young Climate Champions network, community-based youth climate actions, especially in Karakalpakstan, and advocacy at national and international levels.
UNICEF is supporting the government of Indonesia to scale up the free meal programme in Papua province. The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical expertise in reviewing and assessing the architectural layout and cost estimates of kitchen facility infrastructure to ensure functional, cost-efficient, and aligned with national standards for food safety, hygiene, and nutrition service delivery. This will support the effective implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme for children and pregnant women in Papua by ensuring that physical infrastructure is well-designed, appropriately budgeted, and capable of sustaining high-quality meal preparation and distribution. The consultant will work for approx. 3-4 months, based in Jayapura. This is a Re-advertisement, applicants who had previously applied will be considered and need not re-apply.
The recruitment of a consultant will provide the necessary support to coordinate, implement, and monitor these activities effectively. This interim arrangement will help safeguard progress towards programme objectives, uphold quality standards, and mitigate any delays in service delivery.
The consultant based in UNICEF’s Health Programme, MNCAH Section and working in close collaboration with UNICEF’s Supply Division, will support this oxygen scale up efforts and serve as liaison for country offices as well as selected collaborative efforts with partners.
In addition, the consultant will provide support, as needed, to broader efforts in scaling essential MNCH commodities to support acceleration of mortality reduction towards the SDGs.
