UNICEF South Sudan is looking for an experienced professional passionate about positively impacting every child to join the team as a Supply Specialist. The individual will be, responsible for the planning and development of procurement strategies related to Institutional and Services contracts, participates in UN Reform activities (for example, benchmarking, sustainable procurement, and UN procurement certification scheme), including training and capacity building of government counterparts, with the aim to streamline and harmonise procurement, as well as to ensure common procurement quality and high ethical standards.
The People and Culture Specialist, within their area of responsibility, is accountable for implementing HR services that enhance the capacity of their clients to deliver on their business goals and objectives. In doing so, the incumbent demonstrates the ability to anticipate HR-related needs and develop subsequent plans and solutions that align HR management with business objectives.
The main purpose of the assignment is to support the Education Unit with UNICEF Innocenti – Global Office of Research and Foresight with the inception phase of the Implementation Research Improving Education (IRIE) initiative.
The consultant will support engagement with UNICEF country offices and regional offices to solicit relevant documentation for the IRIE initiative, design research plans and budgets, and input into relevant resource mobilization outputs.
