A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen within UNICEF Mozambique for a passionate and committed WASH Specialist Cluster Coordinator (National and Sub-national), P3 level Temporary Appointment position (364 days) based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Under the overall direction and guidance of the Chief of Field Office, Pemba, the WASH Cluster Coordinator level will ensure leadership of the cluster at the national and sub-national levels based at sub-national level in Pemba, Cabo Delgado Province.
Purpose of Activity/Assignment:
To advance the evidence-generation activities of UNICEF Afghanistan through the implementation of communication and dissemination plans for evaluations, administrative coordination efforts, and technical reviews. This includes the formulation of the Evaluation Terms of Refence, recruitment of qualified teams of consultants/firms, arranging key informant interviews, and other administrative and coordination efforts. The consultancy is also expected to review key evaluation deliverables and provide technical comments, implement the monthly updates of the integrated monitoring, evaluation, and research plan (IMERP) and UNICEF’s EISI system.

The Chief, Private Sector Climate Partnerships position sits within the Private Sector Fundraising & Partnerships section of the Private Fundraising & Partnerships (PFP) Division. The post will work across the UNICEF ecosystem, and closely with colleagues in the Emergency Fundraising team and the high-value partnerships teams, as well as various teams in the Public Partnerships Division in New York and Brussels, the Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (DGCA) and the Programme Group Climate, Environment, Energy and Disaster Risk Reduction (CEED) team. In addition, this post will coordinate and support private sector resource mobilization efforts (across channels and markets) to generate long-term, sustainable funding and advocacy support for UNICEF’s work on climate and will be the focal point for the Partnerships Cone and PFP Senior Leadership on climate-focused private sector resource mobilization.
Under the general guidance of the Communication Manager (Communication for Partnerships) and working closely with team leads within the Communication for Partnerships team, the role will focus on communication support for multi-country and global partnerships which include: designing and driving joint communication plans and frameworks; multi-country coordination for communication planning; partnership communication workshop facilitation; development of communication assets and materials; management of reputational risks through communication strategies; and oversight for the rollout and implementation of these communication assets and strategies across markets. The job entails close collaboration with National Committees and country offices in mitigating reputational risks, and works with internal and external stakeholders to successfully manage response to reputational issues for UNICEF’s private sector financial and non-financial partnerships with business, foundations, high net worth individuals, membership-based and faith-based organizations.
