As Chief, you will lead the delivery of the UNICEF Country Programme across selected territories in the Amazon region, championing the rights of children and adolescents – particularly the most marginalized and vulnerable. India Country Office is looking for an experienced Chief of Health responsible for managing and leading all stages of UNICEF’s engagement in child health and well-being in India, implemented through a network of 13 UNICEF Field Offices, from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of results. The Chief, Health leads and manages the Health Section and supports the broader UNICEF health network including establishing plans of action to achieve concrete and sustainable results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), as well as UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance, and accountability framework.
Under the supervision of a Head of Office, the Senior Executive Associate is accountable for procedural communications, operations and administrative support services, as well as specialized administrative functions, to enhance the smooth running of the supervisor’s day-to day activities, as well as his/her section. Senior Executive Associates also represent the supervisor in initiating, following up on and resolving issues pertaining to administrative requests.
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification Nutrition Consultant will contribute to the implementation of the above-mentioned road map. This will include providing technical support to and quality assurance of IPC AMN analyses, guidance to country level partners on nutrition data collection and analyses as inputs to IPC exercises, and support to normative work among others.
Under the general guidance of the Social Behaviour Change Specialist, the Social Behaviour Change Officer contributes to the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based, inclusive and innovative Social Behaviour Change (SBC) strategies in support of the country programme.
