The purpose of this assignment as part of UNICEF and Africa CDC Joint Action Plan is to facilitate the development of Africa CDC’s Continental immunization Strategy (CIS). The Strategy will guide Africa CDC’s role in the collective efforts of countries and stakeholders to accelerate immunization coverage and prevent outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases. It aims to leverage Africa CDC's unique mandate to help countries build resilient health systems through a robust PHC platform. The strategy will also serve as a tool for resource mobilization for immunization. A roadmap and a monitoring and accountability framework will be developed to guide and track progress in the implementation of the CIS.

To assist in the audits and advisory assignments in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and OIAI policies and procedures, as part of the approved OIAI work plan. The Internal Auditor’s work is crucial to strengthening UNICEF’s governance, risk management and control processes, and hence to the economic, efficient and effective delivery of results for children.NOTE: This post is based in Budapest with travel to UNICEF locations, often in difficult duty stations.
Afghanistan Country Office is seeking an experienced Programme Associate who works in close collaboration with a range of staff in the Field Office, external partners and agency counterparts in support of programme design and delivery. S/He provides regular feedback on the status of projects through monitoring milestones and advises on improvements to keep activities on track.
