The purpose of the consultancy is to strengthen the quality, reach and effect of the cash-plus component. Building on existing procedures and tools, the consultant will develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for curriculum delivery and referrals, design behaviour-focused digital and in-person engagement, assemble a standardised training package and document what works. The consultant will also maintain organised records and a content library for the component and support programme monitoring and reporting.
Under the supervision of the WASH Officer, the WASH Technical Consultant for Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) is accountable for the timely and quality implementation of the WASH-MHM program, under the CER Output 5.2, with particular focus on the promoting Menstrual Hygiene Management and the institutionalization of the Oky Menstrual Period Tracking App in the Philippines.
The implementation Oky under the TUSIP program and the emerging climate-environment agenda for MHM has expanded the opportunity to reach more adolescents in the Philippines. To maximize this opportunity, the WASH-MHM program, particularly the Oky project, requires continued personnel support for technical assistance delivery, marketing and user acquisition, and systems strengthening. The primary objective of consultancy is to provide technical support to the Ministry of Health and Human Services
(MoHHS) in Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI) and the State Department of Health in Federated States of Micronesia
(FSM) to scale up care for children with wasting and nutritional oedema based on 2023 WHO normative guidance. The
consultancy aims at strengthening the capacity of the Ministries of health to deliver Integrated Management of Acute
Malnutrition (IMAM) services with the expected quality of care, integrated into primary health care services and
supported by adequate monitoring and reporting.
To contribute to embedding CoP across the organization, UNICEF is engaging a consultant to, among others, prepare a first draft of institution-wide procedure on CoP, which would build on the CCCs, and help establish a more systematic approach to addressing protection risks affecting children across contexts and programs.
