Under the general supervision and guidance of the Health Specialist (NO-4), the Health Specialist will provide support to programme development and planning, manage and monitor programme and delivery of results, offer technical and operational support to programme implementation, build network/partnership and strengthen innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.
The Health Officer reports to the Health Specialist and provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the Health Programme within the Country Programme, from development planning to delivery of results, by preparing, executing, managing, and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, and evaluating and reporting of results.
The intern will work with UNICEF's HIV Section at HQ, supporting knowledge work to integrate evidence-based programming for adolescent and young key populations. They will assist in amplifying perspectives from networks and contribute to UNICEF's role in Results Area 7 of the UN Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS, which focuses on strengthening the HIV response for young people.
The Laaha’s design and content have been developed using a human-centered design (HCD) methodology. The content modules have been developed based on the information needs and priorities women and adolescent girls have expressed throughout the research phase in the various deployment countries. As of today, Laaha offers a total of 85 modules on SRHR and GBV.
During the 18-month period of the contract, the Consultant will implement the Laaha workplan targeted interventions listed below to support the scaling phase of Laaha.
