The child protection section in ECARO is looking for Child Protection Specialist P4 TA in O/P Budapest Hungary, whom under the supervision of the Child Protection Manager will supports the development and preparation of the MHPSS components of Child Protection programme(s), with focus on the Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPHA) agenda, and is responsible for the management, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of these components. The extension of the Ukraine emergency has resulted in continued and increasing MHPSS needs among children and families remaining in Ukraine and those displaced to neighboring countries. Simultaneously, the region is seeing an uptick in mixed migration arrivals and the passing of the EU Pact has highlighted need for continued UNICEF engagement to strengthen MHPSS response and policy environment for all displaced, refugee and migrant children and youth in the region.

Its primary role is facilitating preparedness planning and monitoring, thus fostering enhanced readiness for emergency response efforts. EPP guides UNICEF offices through a structured and standardized preparedness planning process, encompassing risk analysis, scenario definitions, and identifying necessary actions to prepare for an effective humanitarian response. Building on the successes of previous versions, the EPP 3.0 version aims to enable more efficient and accurate preparedness planning and monitoring, improved preparedness for response, enhanced collaboration and communication among team members, greater flexibility and accessibility for users, and the ability to analyze and utilize data for quick decision making. The Emergency Preparedness Specialist will during 60% of his/her time support EPP 3.0 platform development as Product Owner. He/she will represent RAPS and be accountable for the backlog and for the fluid liaison with ICTD and development teams on a daily/hourly basis. During the remaining 40% of his/her time, the Emergency Preparedness Specialist will support the work of the preparedness unit in ensuring notably the effective implementation of technical assistance related to preparedness in ROs and COs. The UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia seeks a results driven Regional Advisor Polio to support and advise the Regional Director, the Regional Management Team and Pakistan and Afghanistan Country Offices in developing policies, strategies, programmes and systems for the UNICEF regional polio programme support. This is in the urgency to stop polio transmission in the remaining endemic areas in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Outposted to Islamabad, Pakistan the Regional Advisor Polio will facilitate greater insights to the program challenges and context, allow better alignment of support to the GPEI programme and partners in the two countries, and more rapid engagement and support to the two UNICEF country teams.
