UNICEF is seeking a motivated intern to support its Climate-Resilient Education (CRE) team. The intern will provide entry-level, learning-focused support to the global CRE portfolio, assisting with coordination, documentation, knowledge management, and basic research. Working under the supervision of the Education & Climate Lead, the intern will contribute to day-to-day activities that strengthen collaboration, track technical assistance, and support knowledge sharing, while gaining practical exposure to UNICEF’s work at the intersection of education and climate resilience.
The Education Specialist GJP is to be used in a Country Office (CO) where the Education Programme is a component of the Country Programme (orUNDAF). The Specialist reports to the Chief, Education who is at Level 4.
The purpose of this assignment is to provide technical and related support to the Department of Basic Education’s ECD Directorate on the implementation of on early learning and development programmes as set out in the terms of reference.
UNICEF Jakarta is looking for Education Officer who will provide professional technical, operational and administrative assistance, particularly to activities related to foundational (literacy and numeracy) learning, including gender and disability inclusive education in the context of reaching ‘last mile’ learners in early education. The Officer will under key tasks relating to education programme planning for delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, monitoring, evaluating and reporting. The Officer’s tasks will be particularly focused on facilitating sub-national programme implementation. The Officer will also contribute to the preparation of research activities, aimed at education system strengthening, focusing on improving learning quality. The contract is under Temporary Appointment for 364 days.
The consultancy will help strengthen programme delivery by supporting implementation planning, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, building synergies across related initiatives, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that programme activities are aligned with broader government priorities and PSS planning processes. The assignment will also provide technical monitoring and reporting support to the UNICEF North Pacific Office for education and ECD-related activities with PSS, OCS and other partners.
