The national consultant will be helping the MoES and its affiliated institutions to develop a framework for CBE learning materials, develop sample units for selected subjects and grades, and design a financial model to support a sustainable approach to CBE learning materials.
The primary assignment of the national consultant is to provide expert support to the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES) in undertaking a comprehensive system reform focused on the Curriculum Structure and the National Curriculum Framework, as outlined below. This reform aims to modernize and strengthen the educational curriculum to better meet national education goals and best international practices.
The Programme Specialist provides technical guidance to UNICEF Myanmar to strengthen programme management to support an agile and strategic approach to expanding coverage of services and supplies, and in accordance with the Humanitarian Response Plan and other planning frameworks. The programme specialist works closely with Field Operations, the Emergency Unit, PME, and programme sections, to capture programming adjustments and to strengthen internal coordination.
The function also contributes to maintaining and enhancing the credibility and ability of UNICEF to fulfil Core Commitments for Children.
The Child Protection Officer (Child Online Protection and Digital Rights) will provide technical
and operational assistance for the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluating and
reporting for the child online protection and digital rights programme.
The Education Specialist position is required on temporary appointment, to continue technical support to the Ministry of Education on planning, monitoring and reporting of results with a focus on programmes funded by the GPE. The incumbent will also support planning and implementation of key interventions under the national foundational learning strategy, including remedial education, and inclusion of children with disability.
Under the direct supervision of Chief Education, the Education Specialist will work with the Education Section team and government partners, most notably the Ministry of Education and Rwanda Basic Education Board, that leads implementation of GPE funded programmes.
