The Planning, Reporting, Information, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PRIME) Section supports all PFP sections and inter-divisional and inter-office work by providing strategic planning, monitoring, and reporting, internal communications, and knowledge management for UNICEF’s private sector work.
The Knowledge Management Manager (KM Manager), based in PRIME, will oversee KM work across the Division, and help strengthen knowledge management by working closely with KM Specialists and focal points in PFP sections. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic framework for KM in the Division and for the related policies, plans, methodologies, and products to increase learning from successes and failures and replication of successful activities in the UNICEF private sector family. The KM Manager will promote an overall culture of knowledge capture, sharing, and learning through the Division’s organizational processes and systems, and provide thought leadership and hands-on support for KM initiatives in PFP.
In addition, the KM Manager will work closely with the Chief of Planning, PRIME, the Internal Communications Manager, the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Manager to deliver on the KM goals of the Division, as well as with the Organizational Learning and Knowledge Management Unit at New York Headquarters (NYHQ) to synergize with and contribute to organization-wide KM initiatives. The UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia seeks a results driven Regional Advisor Polio to support and advise the Regional Director, the Regional Management Team and Pakistan and Afghanistan Country Offices in developing policies, strategies, programmes and systems for the UNICEF regional polio programme support. This is in the urgency to stop polio transmission in the remaining endemic areas in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Outposted to Islamabad, Pakistan the Regional Advisor Polio will facilitate greater insights to the program challenges and context, allow better alignment of support to the GPEI programme and partners in the two countries, and more rapid engagement and support to the two UNICEF country teams.
The purpose of this assignment is to provide expert technical support to strengthen water, wastewater, and district heating services in Kryvyi Rih, ensuring that children and families have reliable access to safe water and sanitation. Given the ongoing war in Ukraine and the destruction of critical infrastructure such as the Kakhovka dam, this assignment will focus on restoring deteriorating systems and mitigating public health risks from poor water quality and sewage treatment. The consultant will work closely with local utilities, including Kryvbass VodoKanal, and two heating service providers to enhance technical capacity and implement sustainable, long-term solutions. This will help address the urgent need for infrastructure rehabilitation, while aligning efforts with UNICEF's broader WASH program objectives of improving water and sanitation access for over 4.5 million people across affected areas.
The consultant will play a critical role in supporting UNICEF’s WASH programming in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. The consultant will focus on coordinating donor relations, mobilizing resources, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. As part of government's efforts to rehabilitate water, wastewater, and heating systems in a city with 700,000 residents, the coordinator will bridge communication between stakeholders, donors, and implementing partners. The consultant will ensure that financial and technical support from donors is optimally utilized to address critical infrastructure degradation, rising public health risks, and to maintain emergency services for vulnerable populations, especially children, affected by the ongoing war.
The purpose of this consultancy is to support achievement of UNICEF Ukraine’s goals in youth policy strengthening. In particular, it will include the following tasks:
• Support the UNICEF Ukraine Country Office through technical advice and coordination in the development of strategic frameworks and Theories of Change, relating to Youth Policy and youth employment systems and models;
• To prepare evidence and compile data to inform UNICEF’s advocacy in youth policy review and development,;
• To provide technical support and advice in UNICEF’s policy engagement on youth employment and youth as a driving force of human capital
• To support the analysis of localised youth policies and key deprivations of youth in hromadas, and provide recommendations on how to address the gaps;
• To support UNICEF and implementing partners in planning of youth policy implementation in hromadas;
• Providing technical advice to hromadas, sharing effective practices and referring them to experts or peers for knowledge sharing;
• Support UNICEF in capacity building of implementing partners to deliver sustainable youth policy in hromadas;
• Supporting UNICEF and hromadas in showcasing their practices for the purposes of upstream youth policy work.
