The Supply and Logistics Specialist reports to the Deputy Representative Operations as per the Country Office (CO) set-up and is responsible for managing the supply chains of a small sized country office, and/or small sized emergency response operation, or elements of the supply chains of a larger supply operation. The supply chain operations include planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in country transport and distribution, as well as monitoring of supplies, services and construction works.
The overall objective of this consultancy is to strengthen Iraq's climate governance and data systems and to expand access to climate finance, by supporting the establishment and operationalization of a Climate Information Unit within the Ministry of Environment and by providing technical support to the NDC water sector action plan, the NAP process, loss and damage work, GCF proposal preparation and DRR programming.
The Partnerships Specialist contributes to strengthening UNICEF's strategic positioning with IFIs by monitoring institutional and political developments, identifying opportunities for policy influence, resource mobilization, and strategic collaboration, and supporting high-level engagement with senior partner counterparts. The position provides strategic analysis, partnership guidance, and coordination across the organization to ensure coherent and effective engagement with IFIs. The incumbent serves as a resource for colleagues on IFI-related partnership opportunities and contributes to positioning UNICEF as a trusted partner in advancing sustainable development outcomes for children.
The core objective of this assignment is to co-create or lead on data projects, support capacity building where applicable and developing data & analytics products, primarily using cutting-edge data and data science models to support horizontal initiatives across UNICEF’s core programmes on health, education, WASH and country climate initiatives and in particular the Automated SitRep, a tool that supports the Office of Emergency Programmes with data to support regional and country based emergencies and the Air Quality Model creation for Malaysia.
