The Department of Education (DepED) and UNICEF are seeking a national consultant to carry out a review of the DepED Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools (WinS) Program and make recommendations for strengthening the program effectiveness, sustainability, financing, climate/DRR integration, and monitoring.
DepED institutionalized the WinS Program through DepED Order No. 10, s. 2016, which sets policy objectives and standards to promote safe water, sanitation and hygiene practices and a clean learning environment for learners. The policy adopted the Three Star Approach (TSA) to WASH in Schools and its concept of progressive, stepwise improvements toward national WinS standards as the national strategy to help schools progressively improve WASH conditions. Over time, DepED and partners have also strengthened implementation through decentralized, school-led approaches and technical coordination mechanisms.
The purpose of this consultancy is to coordinate the implementation of the UNICEF Lao DDR Climate Strategy and prepare activities under the Safe and Clean Environment Outcome of the new Country Programme (2027-2031).
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the WASH Programme is accountable for the accomplishment of the stated key end-results by providing professional expertise and assistance in information/data collection, statistics and data analysis, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), preparation of reports, communication and partnership, and in implementing training programmes for national and sub-national data collection, monitoring, evaluation and research capacity building with special attention to the interest, concern and participation of primary stakeholders.
Join UNICEF’s Caribbean Multi-Country Office as an Operations Specialist (Administration, Supply and Procurement) and coordinate an integrated portfolio of administration, procurement, supply and logistics services across our 12-country operation. You will help strengthen service delivery, operational performance and efficiency, driving more standardized and agile ways of working that enable programmes and humanitarian response across the region.
