The Regional Chief of Communication is accountable for developing, implementing, managing and monitoring a regional advocacy and communication strategy and associated products, partnerships and activities. He/ She will support resource mobilization, global priority and campaign initiatives, especially those of importance to the work of the National Committees. Advise, provide guidance and build communication capacity of staff and others throughout the region. The incumbent will co-ordinate and guide regional monitoring and evaluation of communication, and also provide recommendations on global, regional and country communication policy development, support and advocacy and communication activities. The incumbent will also advice on the articulation of policies and strategies, with an emphasis on those that promote gender equality and equity.
UNICEF Pacific is in search of a dedicated and proactive international Consultant. The consultant will be supervised on a day-to-day basis including contract management by the Early Childhood Education Specialist with relevant guidance, provided by the UNICEF Pacific Education Chief of Education. The consultant is expected to closely collaborate with ECE Officer at UNICEF Pacific and education specialists and officers at Field Offices, through out the consultancy for technical guidance.
The consultant is expected to travel for in-person work, including in-person engagement in key meetings and consultations, and may work remotely the remainder of the time. When working remotely, the consultant is expected to be available for discussions as required during working hours of the country. All costs associated with the travel (including living allowances and any other costs) are to be included in the total contract value. This will be based on the indicative list of countries included in this TOR, with a contract amendment required if travel plans or costs change significantly.
Under the direction of the senior evaluation specialist (head of impact evaluation and methods), the impact evaluation specialist will provide support to organizational efforts to increase coverage of impact evaluations in the thematic areas of UNICEF mandate (child protection, social protection, health among others) and contribute to the effective implementation of the Impact Catalyst Fund’s multi-country thematic window/windows. Working collaboratively with the evaluation team in Evaluation office (NYHQ), regional, and country office teams, the incumbent will support planned and ongoing impact evaluations, contribute to strengthening institutional and national capacities in impact evaluations, and support scale-up of innovative approaches in rigorous impact evaluations in fragile and humanitarian settings.

The Malawi Country Office (MCO) is currently seeking a seasoned Education Specialist (Education in Emergency). Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Education Specialist (System Strengthening) and under the matrix supervision of the Chief of Humanitarian Action and Resilience (HAR), you will play a crucial role in profoundly impacting and influencing children’s educational enrollment and learning by way of contributing to the overall achievement of transformative results for children who are the most marginalized and disadvantaged – children with disabilities, girls, children from rural and remote areas, and the like – are given education opportunities that allow them to develop to their full potential.
