The Social & Economic Policy (SEP) unit at UNICEF Innocenti - Global Office of Research and Foresight is establishing a Roster of Consultants with pre-qualified candidates who can be contracted quickly to provide a range of research services. These may include quantitative or qualitative data collection activities, data analysis (quantitative and/or qualitative), literature reviews, writing research outputs such as reports, briefs or academic articles, amongst others.
With the overall organizational refocus to become more agile, lean and fit for purpose structure the office has announced the consultant position that will advance the office efforts to deliver impactful results in Partnerships and Operations. The position will focus on enhancing the donor engagement activities to advance fundraising which is crucial for the office efforts to self-sustain its operations. Additionally, the candidate will support Operational tasks to complement fundraising and advocacy campaign projects.
The overall objective of the Consultancy is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of social protection system in Turkmenistan using the Core Diagnostics Instrument. The International Consultant in coordination with the National Task Force will lead in assessing selected social protection programmes and developing recommendations for strengthening the social protection system, including expansion of coverage, improvement of service delivery, and administration.
Under direct supervision of UNICEF Social Policy Specialist and guidance from ILO and World Bank Team Leads, the International Consultant will work in close cooperation with the consultants hired by UNICEF, ILO and World Bank.
