As part of the cooperation between the Brazilian Government (Ministry of Planning and Budget – MPO) and UNICEF, the goal is to work toward advancing the Children and Adolescents agenda within the current Federal PPA to be expanded at the state level as a pilot initiative. UNICEF is seeking the services of an individual consultant to provide Strategic, Technical, and Operational and coordination support to the MoH/EPI and the UNICEF Zambia Country Office (ZCO) to the polio (WPV1 and nOPV2) Out-Break Response (OBR) through effectively planning, budgeting, operations management, monitoring, and reporting of quality Supplementary Immunisation Activities (SIAs) campaigns towards achieving high (above 95%) coverage of bi-valent Oral Polio Vaccine (bOPV) and novel Oral Polio Vaccine Type-2 (nOPV2). .
UNICEF's Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section within the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) works with National Committees and UNICEF country offices to maximize income and drive income growth. The Purpose Marketing and Brand Building (PMBB) section within PSFP leads global efforts to build marketing strategies that position UNICEF effectively for fundraising and engagement with private sector audiences. The purpose of this assignment is to set the strategic direction for the high value marketing unit and oversee its successful implementation. This involves detailed collaboration with internal teams and external partners to define project scopes, develop comprehensive project plans, and create compelling propositions, narratives and content that supports fundraising objectives.
Under the direction and guidance of direct supervisor the Deputy Representative programs, coordinates overall country office emergency preparedness and response. Responsible for the development, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the emergency interventions, including providing coordination and oversight for the Emergency Management Team (EMT), Situation Reports (SITREPs), Emergency Preparedness Platform (EPP), Basic Services Response Priorities (BSRP). He/she will also support advocacy and resource mobilization through development of strategic briefs and proposals. Overall, this position will provide coordination and support for all stages of UNICEF Eritrea’s emergency and humanitarian programmes.
The National Consultant is expected to work with FSPs, to support adaptation and development of financial products for the host communities, Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs) and Forcibly Displaced Populations (FDPs), to closely monitor the roll-out and implementation of the financial inclusion interventions and to help UNICEF re-design the financial products in line with the needs of the target communities. The assignment also requires close collaboration with the International Consultant that will be hired for management of contracts with FSPs to design and deliver financial inclusion services, including linkage of cash transfer and other program beneficiaries to uncollateralized microloans through a revolving fund for livelihood support/restoration and resilience-building. It is expected from the National Consultant to facilitate the dialogues between FSPs and UNICEF and to understand the structure of the FSPs and operations that would allow for designing/re-designing and rolling-out products.
