Under the supervision of the Chief WASH, the WASH Emergency Specialist will lead and support WASH responses to humanitarian emergencies across the country.
The role of the WASH Emergency Specialist is an operational role. The selected candidate will be expected to deploy across the country to support and ensure emergency preparedness and response.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of the Health Section and the Health Manager, Health Specialist for guidance and technical oversight, the Emergency Health Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of UNICEF's response to the mpox epidemic at the national and operational levels.
Le titulaire du poste sera basé à Ngozi et travaillera en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de gestion de crise en fournissant un appui au Programme National Intégré d’Alimentation et de Nutrition (PRONIANUT) et Centre des Opérations D’urgence de Santé Publique (COUSP) pour la contribution de la nutrition dans la préparation et la réponse aux urgences, en particulier le Mpox.
The Laaha’s design and content have been developed using a human-centered design (HCD) methodology. The content modules have been developed based on the information needs and priorities women and adolescent girls have expressed throughout the research phase in the various deployment countries. As of today, Laaha offers a total of 85 modules on SRHR and GBV.
During the 18-month period of the contract, the Consultant will implement the Laaha workplan targeted interventions listed below to support the scaling phase of Laaha.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is accountable for the accomplishment of the stated key end-results by providing professional expertise and assistance in information/data collection, statistics and data analysis, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), preparation of reports, communication and partnership, and in implementing training programmes for national and sub-national data collection, monitoring, evaluation and research capacity building with special attention to the interest, concern and participation of primary stakeholders.
