Within the framework of the Core Commitments for Children in Humanitarian Action, the main purpose of the assignment is to ensure support UCO is scaling up its Child Protection Emergency Response, with a focus on the provision of life saving services to children affected by armed conflict and on monitoring child rights violations. Technical capacity is required to ensure adherence to the CCCs and the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action. Under the management of the Chief Child Protection, the incumbent will support Ukraine Country Office to monitor and report on grave violations of children’s rights and support the implementation of the joint prevention plan to end and prevent grave violations against children. The Child Protection in Emergencies Manager will also supervise the Child Protection in Emergencies Specialist. The P4 will report to the Chief Child Protection.
The Security Specialist reports to the Country Security Manager (CSM) and maintains a secondary technical reporting line to the next most senior security professional (matrix management). The Security Specialist is responsible for advising the CSM on their security duties and responsibilities in accordance with UN and UNICEF Security Management Systems. The Security Specialist contributes to the UNICEF mandate through strong security risk analysis, advice, and relevant mitigation. The Security Specialist manages and supports, on behalf of the CSM/Representative, all security activities in the country/area.
The Security Specialist implements and manages security activities at the duty station in close coordination with all members of the UN Security Management System (UNSMS) including the UN Department of Safety and Security as well as NGO partners in line with the Saving Lives Together (SLT) policy. As a member of the Security Cell, contributes to the development of assessments, procedures and guidelines including Security Risk Management (SRM) processes, SRM measures, and the relevant Security Plan(s).
Under the guidance of the Social & Behaviour Change Specialist, Level 4, this post will provide technical support to MOHFW to strengthen demand generation in the health systems through social and behaviour change strategies and interventions. The role will primarily focus on supporting routine immunization SBC interventions as part of three-year programme, GAVI funded Health System Strengthening project.

The objective of this consultancy is to support the ESS initiative by creating a SharePoint platform where all ESS-related corporate documents, tools, and training materials are easily accessible, and to establish a Community of Practice (CoP) for staff to collaborate, share knowledge, and improve ESS implementation.
