Under the supervision of the Deputy Representative Operations, the Operations Assistant is responsible for executing a broad variety of routine tasks for the operations unit requiring full knowledge of UNICEF administrative and operational procedures, processes, and policies.
The Chief of Field Operations and Emergency is accountable for the overall management and administration of the Field Operations and Emergency Section and for oversight and support to ensure timely, effective and efficient programme delivery in the field through sound leadership, supervision and monitoring to achieve measurable results for emergency as well as regular programme response. The incumbent is also accountable to ensure UNICEF cluster leadership for the assigned sectors. The incumbent reports to the Representative and has a supervisory role of Field offices, Emergency preparedness, DRR and response and Cluster coordination.
During the duration period of the contract, the consultant will support the CCS resource package (second edition) development and dissemination, as well as the UNICEF service delivery products development and knowledge management of GBViE resources, through the specific tasks.
The GBV Risk Mitigation Institutionalization Consultant will provide the technical expertise required to help advance these objectives through specific deliverables.
This consultancy is to support ADAP’s work in humanitarian contexts by building UNICEF’s global capacity to use the Adolescent Kit for Expression and Innovation (Adolescent Kit) as a programmatic resource to effectively reach, support and engage adolescents ages 10-18, and by enhancing and expanding the guidance, activities, training materials, digital resources and supplies that compose the Kit. This consultancy will be managed by UNICEF’s Adolescent Development and Participation (ADAP) team.
