The Education and Gender Officer, under the guidance of the Gender and Development Specialist (Matrix Management) and the Chief of Education (Direct report), is responsible for providing technical support to ensure gender mainstreaming across all components of the ECW programme and implementing gender-targeted activities. This role focuses on enhancing gender and girls' education outcomes in alignment with the GLO result frameworks.
Under the supervision of SBC Chief and in close coordination with sectoral and inter-sectoral sections and offices, the Staff will contribute to a better understanding of the socio-cultural systems established by populations, which include different forms of authority, organization and coping and resilience mechanisms to cope with adversity, and how these elements shape their capacity to put into practice desired behaviors. She/he will have to prioritize the location and responsibility of affected people and communities, especially those located in risk areas.
