UNICEF Papua New Guinea seeking to recruit an Internation Professional for the position of Education Manager at P4 level on Temporary Appointment. The Education Manager supports the Chief in managing the section, playing a key role in bringing innovation to the development and preparation of education programmes. The Education Manager provides authoritative technical guidance and operational support throughout all stages of programming to facilitate the management and delivery of results on strengthening national education systems to improve learning outcomes and to promote universal access to quality, equitable and inclusive primary/early childhood education, especially for children who are marginalized, disadvantaged and excluded in society.
Under the supervision of P3 Education Specialist based in Cabo Delgado with leadership from the Chief of Education (based in Maputo), the Construction Engineer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the promotion and expansion of resilient and green infrastructure for children in Mozambique from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementation with a strong focus on innovation and piloting new models.

Los objetivos específicos son:
-Brindar asesoramiento experto sobre normativa internacional comparada y el diseño de políticas públicas relacionadas al acceso a la justicia de niños y niñas con el fin de garantizar la plena aplicación de la Convención de los Derechos del Niño y otros estándares internacionales pertinentes a la normativa nacional.
-Contribuir al fortalecimiento de capacidades de operadores del ámbito judicial y social sobre acceso a la justicia para niños y niñas, estándares internacionales para la defensa, el Principio del Interés Superior del Niño, entre otros temas.
-Asesorar técnicamente sobre proyectos normativos relacionados a la protección especial de niños, niñas y adolescentes y su acceso a la justicia.
-Colaborar en el desarrollo y producción de guías, estándares y otras herramientas sobre protección jurisdiccional de niñas, niños y adolescentes orientadas a los operadores de justicia.
The Programme Officer (Environment and Climate Change) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that UNICEF Chile's programs address the pressing challenges of environmental sustainability, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and climate resilience. This includes leading the integration of these critical themes into existing and future programs, with a focus on protecting children and their communities from environmental and climate-related risks. The incumbent will provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based, child-focused, and aligned with both national frameworks and global priorities such as the Paris Agreement, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and UNICEF’s Climate Change Action Plan.
The role requires fostering cross-sectoral collaboration within UNICEF’s program areas, including health, education, social protection, and child protection, to maximize impact and sustainability. By engaging with government agencies, civil society, private sector, and international partners, the Programme Officer will advocate for inclusive and child-sensitive climate policies and interventions. The role also involves generating data, evidence, and tools to strengthen programming and influence public and private investment in climate resilience. Furthermore, the incumbent will identify and promote innovative solutions, advocate for sustainable practices, and empower children and youth as key actors in climate action, ensuring that the most vulnerable populations are prioritized and protected.
The consultant is expected to develop the capacity and provide technical guidance to UNICEF staff and relevant national and implementing partners in aspects related to disability inclusion, disability-sensitive programming, and participation of children with disabilities throughout the programming processes.
