The Health Manager (MNCH) reports to the Chief of Health/Nutrition for general guidance and supervision. S/He is responsible for supporting the Chief in managing the health section and leading the management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the MNCH and immunization programme within the country programme. S/He provides technical guidance and operational support throughout the programming process to facilitate the achievement of concrete and sustainable results, according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), organizational Strategic Plans and goals, standards of performance, and accountability framework.
Purpose for the job: This position is responsible for leading and coordinating UNICEF’s comprehensive and multisectoral MHPSS portfolio targeting children, adolescents and their caregivers, ensuring an integrated approach across diverse sectors such as Health, Child Protection, Social and Behavior Change, Education, ADAP, Communication, and Social Policy. The Health manager (MHPSS) ensures that MHPSS programming is implemented with strategic vision, unity, coherence and complementarity across sectors and in alignment with UNICEF’s standards of technical quality, accountability, and responsibility, fostering a cohesive and effective response across all sectors.
