UNICEF Pacific is hiring a Technology for Development (T4D)/Digital Impact Officer, NOB on a fixed term appointment to be based in Suva, Fiji. Under the general supervision of the ICT Specialist with technical guidance from Deputy Representative (programme), the T4D Officer supports programme teams in the identification, assessment and integration of ICT and digital innovation into UNICEF programming; strengthening internal capacity to support T4D related initiatives; identifying and engaging with key partners; building and maintaining business relationships; applying reusable and replicable technical buildings blocks; and maximizing the potential for the scale-up and sustainability of technology and digital innovation for UNICEF programming. The T4D Officer works closely with Programme staff and in close liaison with the Regional Office ICT and T4D teams, and the central ICT Division where applicable.
The UNICEF Gulf Area Office (UNICEF GAO) is unique in its mandate. It is accountable for providing programmatic support to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar. In addition, it identifies, cultivates and sustains partnerships with Gulf-based partners to generate resources for the organization globally. UNICEF has a role to play in ensuring rapid development in the Gulf is child sensitive and child focused and that children remain at the heart of the national development dialogue.

The WASH Hub will source, pilot and scale transformational and frontier climate resilient solutions that respond to key programmatic challenges that, if solved, will unlock faster progress for a water secure future for children and young people.
The More Water More Life (MWML) programme (2018–2025) introduced an innovative approach to deep groundwater exploration using remote sensing and overlay analysis to identify deep groundwater resources, producing groundwater suitability maps—offering a cost-effective and efficient way to enhance groundwater access in vulnerable areas.
The Consultant will support the WASH Hub by defining, outlining the scaling pathway, approach and key considerations for taking the approach to ground water mapping further by supporting multi-country and multi-region scale of adoption where appropriate. The scaling pathway is a structured approach that outlines the steps, strategies, and choices for expanding a proven innovation so it can reach a larger population and achieve sustainable impact over time.
