Under the direct supervision of the ADAP officer and in collaboration with the Education Specialist , the consultant is responsible for providing technical support in the implementation of the Akelius initiative, contributing to a quality scale-up in five administrative units by ensuring technical support to key partners (teacher training institutes and education ministries), providing monitoring of activities within schools, monitoring of equipment, feedback collection and knowledge exchange between different administrative units and schools and regular reporting of these activities and serving as a technical resource person for schools and partners.
UNICEF is looking for a national consultant to provide support and contribute to conducting a Summative Evaluation of the IE project. The purpose of the Summative Evaluation is to assess the overall effectiveness of the IE project. It aims to determine the extent to which the intended goals and objectives of the IE project were achieved and contributed to improving the quality and accessibility of inclusive education for children with special educational needs, including children with disabilities. The findings, lessons learned and recommendations from the Summative Evaluation are intended to guide and inform all stakeholders, including UNICEF, the MoE, other implementing partners, pilot educational establishments, teachers, other educational professionals, and parents. The recommendations of the evaluation will be used to identify and shape the follow-on UNICEF programming in inclusive education to achieve goals and objectives of the new Country Programme for 2026-2030.
Under the supervision of the Education Specialist, the Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.
The UNICEF Young Professionals Programme offers students from diverse academic backgrounds a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the development and humanitarian sector. qualified English Language teacher for staff members to improve their English skills, in order to facilitate
communication and improve the quality of documents produced.
