The Partnerships Specialist contributes to strengthening UNICEF's strategic positioning with IFIs by monitoring institutional and political developments, identifying opportunities for policy influence, resource mobilization, and strategic collaboration, and supporting high-level engagement with senior partner counterparts. The position provides strategic analysis, partnership guidance, and coordination across the organization to ensure coherent and effective engagement with IFIs. The incumbent serves as a resource for colleagues on IFI-related partnership opportunities and contributes to positioning UNICEF as a trusted partner in advancing sustainable development outcomes for children.
The core objective of this assignment is to co-create or lead on data projects, support capacity building where applicable and developing data & analytics products, primarily using cutting-edge data and data science models to support horizontal initiatives across UNICEF’s core programmes on health, education, WASH and country climate initiatives and in particular the Automated SitRep, a tool that supports the Office of Emergency Programmes with data to support regional and country based emergencies and the Air Quality Model creation for Malaysia.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is responding to its 17th Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) outbreak, confirmed in May 2026 and affecting Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu provinces. The situation remains complex and evolving, with transmission occurring in both community and health-care settings. Response efforts are led by national authorities in a context shaped by health system limitations, logistical constraints, insecurity, displacement, and diverse community perceptions influencing health-seeking behaviors. UNICEF supports the Government through a multi-sectoral approach, focusing on community engagement, surveillance, infection prevention, and the continuity of essential services for vulnerable populations. This context requires strong coordination, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity to support effective and equitable response efforts, particularly for children and at-risk communities.

The consultant will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of digital End User Monitoring (EUM) tools, data analytics solutions, and Power BI dashboards that improve visibility, accountability, and performance across supply chains. The role will support UNICEF country offices and partners in enhancing data quality, integrating information systems, and generating actionable insights to improve access to essential health and nutrition supplies. Through advanced data analysis, visualization, and digital solutions, the consultant will help strengthen resilient and sustainable supply chain systems in low-resource and humanitarian settings.
