Under the general guidance and supervision of UNICEF’s PPR Washington, DC Office Director (North America and IFIs Pillar), the Public Partnerships Specialist will provide support to position UNICEF as a partner of choice for the US Government, and to inform and educate the US Congress on UNICEF’s programmes, to help sustain support for UNICEF. In addition to US Congressional and Government engagement and team support, the Public Partnerships Specialist will provide support with external engagements across diverse stakeholders, including Member States, NGOs/think tanks and UN partners. The incumbent will liaise directly with: Congressional members and staff, Member States, UNICEF National Committee staff and other non-governmental partners, UN agencies, UNICEF Headquarter Divisions and UNICEF Field Offices.
Under the direct supervision of a Public Partnerships Specialist, North America team, PPR North America and IFIs Pillar (Washington DC) and in collaboration with colleagues from across the Programme Group’s (PG) Health Emergency Preparedness, Response, and Resilience (HEPR) team: the incumbent will deepen collaboration with key U.S. Government stakeholders, help to provide an interface for knowledge exchange, resource mobilization, and policy influence within the scope of the assignment, ensure documentation of quality programming outputs in line with relevant agreement reporting requirements, and provide targeted support for senior staff operations and administrative support services. This position sits within UNICEF’s Public Partnerships and Resource Mobilization (PPR) Division. The P2 TA post supports the US Government Partnership and will be working in close and regular collaboration with Program Group colleagues on the UNICEF-US portfolio with a focus on Infectious Disease Outbreak Response as well as other public health emergency programming as a part of the broader development and humanitarian funding to Country Offices.
This consultation aims to conduct an in-depth market study on the menstrual hygiene products in Cameroon, with particular attention to inequities affecting adolescent girls and women in both urban, peri-urban and rural settings. The study will generate evidence to inform UNICEF Cameroon’s programme strategies on improving access to safe, affordable, quality menstrual products, while strengthening local markets, promoting sustainable and reusable solutions, and addressing socio-cultural barriers.
La consultoría brindará asistencia técnica especializada al Ministerio de Ambiente y Energía (MAE), bajo la supervisión de UNICEF, para fortalecer los mecanismos que facilitan el acceso de los gobiernos municipales al financiamiento de proyectos de agua, saneamiento e higiene (WASH). El trabajo incluirá la revisión y mejora de los procesos de viabilidad técnica, la armonización de criterios entre el MAE y el Banco de Desarrollo del Ecuador (BDE), y el fortalecimiento de los sistemas e instrumentos de gestión utilizados en el sector.
Asimismo, la consultoría apoyará la coordinación entre instituciones públicas, organismos multilaterales y otros actores relevantes, contribuyendo al desarrollo de herramientas técnicas, la generación de evidencia y la formulación de recomendaciones para mejorar las políticas públicas y las estrategias de financiamiento del sector WASH.
The Partnerships Specialist contributes to strengthening UNICEF's strategic positioning with IFIs by monitoring institutional and political developments, identifying opportunities for policy influence, resource mobilization, and strategic collaboration, and supporting high-level engagement with senior partner counterparts. The position provides strategic analysis, partnership guidance, and coordination across the organization to ensure coherent and effective engagement with IFIs. The incumbent serves as a resource for colleagues on IFI-related partnership opportunities and contributes to positioning UNICEF as a trusted partner in advancing sustainable development outcomes for children.
