Under the supervision of the UNICEF Chief of Health and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Somalia and health development partners, the incumbent will be responsible for strengthening the Somali procurement and supply chain management (PSM) and coordination mechanisms of essential medicines, vaccines, nutrition and all health commodities and equipment. As part of emergency flood response for education, UNICEF South Sudan plans to support the Ministry of General Education and Instruction (MOGEI) to ensure learning continuity by utilizing distance learning through radios, using the radio lessons that were used during COVID-19 response for ‘’Education on Air’’ program. This will be rolled-out in specific locations affected by flooding. The aim of this assignment to have a consultant to support organization of the radio audio lesson files according to subjects and grade level of learning so that they are easy to use by teachers/facilitators and learners in primary and secondary schools.
The WASH Officer provides technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process. The Officer prepares, manages and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH output results of the country programme, focusing primarily on reporting and budging processes.
This position is based in Renk, South Sudan, and will support UNICEF Sudan team while in Renk.
The efficiency and efficacy of the support provided by the Driver ensures the safe and timely transportation of staff, officials and visitors to work assignments and the efficient maintenance of vehicles owned/rented by the office, thus supporting the efficient running of the office which in turn strengthens UNICEF’s capacity in delivering programmes for the most vulnerable women and children in that particular country.
