Under overall guidance from the ISU Director, MOSD Assistant Secretary General for Development and governorates Affairs and UNICEF team, the Technical Coordinator contributes to the management, coordination, and reporting functions of the ISU, coordinates the activities of the Unit, and gives direct support to the strategy’s technical committees. The Technical Coordinator will act as a liaison between UNICEF, the ISU Director, the MOSD Assistant Secretary General for Development and governorates Affaires, and committees supporting the implementation of the strategy. S/he will manage the work of the technical team and provide day-to-day support to the overall activities of the ISU.
Under the general direction of the Statistics & Monitoring Advisor for MNCAH, the Consultant will provide technical and operational support to key projects within the Unit. This includes facilitating project implementation tracking, preparing project updates and reports, and supporting staff in communication with UNICEF country and regional offices.

The specialist is responsible for providing support to the Deputy Representative Operations in managing, monitoring and overseeing the full range of financial services in support of program and operational activities (i.e. financial planning, disbursements of funds and payments, treasury and accounting, financial analysis and reporting of resources), ensuring compliance of all financial operations with organizational plans, policies, procedures, guidelines, standards of performance, ethics, and integrity.
