Under overall guidance from the ISU Director, MOSD Assistant Secretary General for Development and governorates Affaires and UNICEF team, the Technical Coordinator contributes to the management, coordination, and reporting functions of the ISU, coordinates the activities of the Unit, and gives direct support to the strategy’s technical committees. The Technical Coordinator will act as a liaison between UNICEF, the ISU Director, the MOSD Assistant Secretary General for Development and governorates Affaires, and committees supporting the implementation of the strategy. S/he will manage the work of the technical team and provide day-to-day support to the overall activities of the ISU.
The Nutrition Officer reports to the Chief Field Officer with matrix management to the Nutrition Specialist. The Nutrition Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the nutrition programmes/projects within the Country Programme, from development planning to delivery of results. In doing so, the incumbent implements a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of results.

These include both US$ multi-million new financial partnerships and a select group of shared-value partnerships that include financial and non-financial elements. The markets supported will likely include UNICEF’s National Committees across Northern Europe.

The related business activities require support to the large-scale and complex UNICEF business applications and information systems pillars used by the PFP division and the PSFR countries, as well as COs and HQs with partnership and/or fundraising operations. These pillars include Supporter Relationship Management, Marketing and Fundraising Management, Communication and Advocacy, Analytics & Business Intelligence, and Knowledge Management.
This post is based in Valencia, a headquarters duty station, and is part of the PFP-ICT Applications Support unit, which manages and supports the analysis of business requirements for applications, the identification or development, the implementation as well as the operations of business application solutions.
