The incumbent will work to ensure programmatic coherence in line with UNICEF Country Programme, strategy, quality assurance and risk management of UNICEF Brazil’s programme, policy and advocacy work at State and Municipal levels. , In a country with high levels of poverty and significant inequalities that are based on gender, race, ethnicity, geographic location, disabilities amongst others, clear strategies that target and transform realities for children and adolescents in Brazil will be of paramount importance. In addition, given the strategic role of Brazil in climate change discussions, with COP30 set to take place in Belem do Para, the incumbent will need to engage with Zonal Offices, UNICEF Chiefs of Goal Areas (e.g. Health, Education, Child Protection, Water, Hygiene and Sanitation, and Social Policy) to local partners to position UNICEF and delivery on its mandate.
