The Child Protection Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the child protection programmes/projects through the application of theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing, and presenting technical programme information while learning organizational rules, regulations and procedures to support the development and formulation of the Child Protection Programme within the Country Programme at the field level.

Under supervision of the Chief of Section, with dotted lines with the Programme Partnership Manager, the incumbent will perform a variety of knowledge management, programme/project/financial monitoring and analysis, and secretariat functions in support of the Child Protection Program, and particularly the Sudan Free of FGM Initiative, jointly implemented by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization, in order to strengthen overall management of the Joint Programme and the analysis of Value for Money.
