The Mpox outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) represents a major public health emergency, with increasing spread across multiple provinces.
The response to this epidemic, according to the DRC's national response plan, is structured around several pillars, including vaccination, which faces multiple challenges, particularly due to the introduction of a new vaccine and a vaccination strategy focused on specific populations.
In response to these challenges, UNICEF DRC is mobilizing an international Immunization Specialist at the P3 level to support the vaccination response to Mpox and other health emergencies, in a context where other epidemics such as measles, polio, and meningitis are also present.
This internship will support the Finance and Master Data Management processes at the Global Shared Services Centre. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the various business process performed as well as about UNICEF’s mission and programs, how it operates globally, while being exposed to working in an international environment. This role will further develop analytical and transactional skills while allowing participation in project work and providing support to senior colleagues. Interns will also perform ad hoc administrative tasks, analysis, coordination and support functions of the overall Finance and MDM team.
If you are a committed, creative professional and you would like to make an active and lasting contribution to build a better and safe world for children, we would like to hear from you. Our State of Palestine Office is seeking a dynamic qualified candidate to join our team as Programme Assistant at G-5 level based in Gaza.
