UNICEF is working in an increasing number of fragile, violent and conflict-affected settings where children and communities face interconnected challenges, including conflict, displacement, climate shocks, poverty, weak governance and disrupted services. These pressures are straining national and local systems and limiting their ability to protect children and deliver essential services. This consultancy will support the development of a practical UNICEF strategy for engagement in these contexts, helping define UNICEF’s comparative advantage, strengthen the resilience of systems and communities, and promote more coherent, risk-informed and child-centered programming across the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. Drawing on evidence, country experience and existing UNICEF guidance, the assignment will produce a strategic framework to guide programming, advocacy, partnerships, resource mobilization and technical support in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
UNICEF India is seeking a national individual consultancy to support UNICEF and government counterparts in strengthening safe, inclusive and evidence-informed digital education interventions, including digital education strategy, EdTech architecture, digital pedagogy, responsible use of AI, capacity strengthening and monitoring, at national and state levels for a period of 12.5 months.
Aligned with these priorities, the Digital Impact Associate (GS-6), under direct supervision of the Digital Impact Officer (NO-1), contributes to the effective functioning of UNICEF Mexico’s ICT environment by delivering reliable operational and technical support services that enable continuity of business operations and programme delivery.
The Legal Affairs Specialist will give recommendations and advice on a wide range of organizational activities and interests, and concern, among other things, the interaction of UNICEF with governments and other key partners as well as on strategic initiatives across UNICEF. This support helps UNICEF to take advantage of opportunities as well as safeguard the organization from risk. The Legal Office aims to identify and mitigate exposure to potential liability and financial loss, to safeguard the ability of the organization to be accountable to its stakeholders, and to preserve credibility as well as funding from member states and other donors, both public and private.
Join UNICEF’s Office of Innovation in Stockholm as a Planning Specialist (Budget & Finance), P-3. This role brings together planning, budgeting, grant management and financial analysis to strengthen resource management and support informed decision-making across a dynamic, multi-team environment.
