The Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.
The Legal Affairs Specialist will give recommendations and advice on a wide range of organizational activities and interests, and concern, among other things, the interaction of UNICEF with governments and other key partners as well as on strategic initiatives across UNICEF. This support helps UNICEF to take advantage of opportunities as well as safeguard the organization from risk. The Legal Office aims to identify and mitigate exposure to potential liability and financial loss, to safeguard the ability of the organization to be accountable to its stakeholders, and to preserve credibility as well as funding from member states and other donors, both public and private.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Regional Emergency Specialist (P4), establishes and implements emergency preparedness and response activities across the 24 Country Offices in West and Central Africa Region including through regular travel (50-75% outside of Dakar) and deployments to Country and Field Offices.
