Under the supervision of the Fundraising Officer – Individual Giving will be responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day coordination of UNICEF’s omnichannel fundraising initiatives across telemarketing, email, SMS, and digital platforms. You will design and implement donor acquisition and retention campaigns, ensuring personalized, seamless, and meaningful donor journeys that foster long-term giving.
A key part of this role is supporting campaigns that convert one-off donors into regular pledge givers through targeted renewal, reactivation, upgrade, and loyalty initiatives. By using data insights and segmentation strategies, the Officer helps optimize donor experiences, strengthen satisfaction, and contribute to sustained revenue growth for UNICEF’s mission.
In 2025, UNICEF adopted a new Gender Equality Action Plan (UGEAP) 2026-2029. The UGEAP covers a range of programmatic and institutional priorities for the organisation, to promote gender equality and women and girls’ empowerment. A core focus is on girls’ leadership and wellbeing.
The Programme communications, advocacy and policy Consultant is accountable to develop, support, network, implement and monitor an advocacy and programme communication strategy and associated products and activities, with the objective of raising awareness about the UGEAP within UNICEF and externally. The consultant will also support engagement with new and existing partners for gender equality and girls’ and women’s empowerment, with a special focus on adolescent girls.
Key tasks include designing and promoting various programme and advocacy assets on social media and other platforms; support for programme partnerships such as engagement briefs, pitch decks and resource mobilisation tools; and engaging with staff and partners to co-create easily understandably, child-friendly resources translating the theoretical principles of various policy frameworks for gender equality into practical assets. A significant focus of the consultant’s work will include actions to advance adolescent girls’ voices and rights across UNICEF and with partners in the public, private and philanthropic spheres as well as with young people themselves. in relation to the Adolescent Girls Programme Strategy implementation, and adolescent girls targeted priorities in the UGEAP 2026-2029 as well the Power4Girls and Skills4Girls portfolios.
The assignment aims to strengthen UNICEF’s partnerships with key stakeholders, including government institutions, national and local sports federations, private sector partners, and civil society organizations, to integrate child rights principles into sport-based initiatives and to leverage the unifying power of sport for social impact.
A particular focus will be placed on exploring and implementing innovative fundraising opportunities through sports, including large-scale sporting events, collaborations with sports organizations, and athlete-led campaigns that can attract both individual supporters and corporate donors.
The consultant will provide overall leadership and technical guidance in the design, planning, and implementation of sports-based projects, as well as in partnership coordination, resource mobilization, and reporting, contributing to the achievement of the expected results under the UNICEF Kazakhstan Country Programme 2026 - 2030.
