UNICEF in Vientiane, Lao PDR is looking for an International Consultant to support MoES to develop its Digital Education Action Plan. The duration of this assignment is 11.5 months, starting as soon as possible. The consultant is expected be based primarily in Laos and work primarily at the MoES ICT Centre in Lao PDR for the duration of the assignment.
The overall purpose of the consultancy is to support UNICEF in taking appropriate actions to tackle sexual exploitation and abuse by providing technical assistance in developing training and awareness-raising content on PSEA, IP assessments, and capacity building of partners.
Under the overall direction and guidance of the WASH Cluster Coordinator, the IM Officer (WASH Cluster) will manage the IM function of the Cluster at the national level. They are responsible for ensuring IM processes effectively contribute to a well-coordinated, strategic, adequate, coherent, and effective response by participants in the Cluster that is accountable to those who are affected by the emergency. In their effort to enable an efficient and effective response to the humanitarian crisis, the IM Officer (WASH Cluster) is responsible for managing the collection, analysis and sharing of information that is essential for the national Cluster participants to make informed, evidence-based, strategic decisions and for ensuring they are adequately coordinating with the national level.
The Supply and Logistics Associate under the supervision of the Operations Officer, performs highly skilled work on UNICEF supply chains, and manages the more complex cases and client requests, which frequently requires the evaluation of difficult situations and adaptation of procedures and processes to resolve such cases. This is the senior GS level for specialized supply chain work and requires advanced specialized knowledge acquired through formal training and experience.
