The overall purpose of this position is to provide thought leadership, quality analytical guidance, oversight, quality assurance and technical support to the social protection agenda for UNICEF in the East and Southern Africa region, with strong links across the continent and global agendas. It is responsible for leading and overseeing regional and country level analysis and advocacy to promote development of national social protection systems and programmes. It contributes to global thinking and visibility on social protection development, including through analysis and advocacy. Strategic use of knowledge generation and fostering of technical and high-level networks to promote social protection is also key.
UNICEF Pacific is hiring a Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Officer at the NOB level on fixed term appointment to be based in Honiara, Solomons Islands. Under the general supervision of the Social and Behavior Change Specialist, Solomon Islands will be required to provide technical and operational support and is responsible communication, advocacy and social and behavior change activities.
