The PPD outpost office in Washington, D.C., supports UNICEF’s work by managing partnerships and resource mobilization with institutions of the Government of the United States, including the White House National Security Council, U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and U.S. Congress.
This consultancy will support the expanding work of the PPD IFIs team with the World Bank. As UNICEF grows its partnerships with the World Bank in fragile and conflict affected settings, there has been a significant increase in direct financing projects in fragile and conflict affected contexts. These partnerships are unique and require more time, resources, and specific expertise compared to projects with traditional donors. The consultant will provide project management support to these country partnerships to ensure smooth project negotiation, implementation, and reporting from the inception to completion stages of the project’s lifecycle. The consultant will also be asked to contribute to a broader knowledge management agenda with the World Bank and UN partners to document lessons learned and analyze the impact of direct financing partnerships.
