The Supply and Logistics Associate performs highly skilled work on UNICEF supply chains, and manages the more complex cases and client requests, which frequently requires the evaluation of difficult situations and adaptation of procedures and processes to resolve such cases. This is the senior GS level for specialized supply chain work and requires advanced specialized knowledge acquired through formal training and experience. The primary purpose of this consultancy is to provide strategic technical leadership and expert oversight for the design, development, and implementation of an expanded IIS based on the Tandurusti.tj platform in Tajikistan. The consultant will ensure that all new features and functionalities are technically sound, interoperable, secure, and aligned with international best practices, including guidance from UNICEF, WHO, and GAVI.

Under the overall general guidance of the Chief of Communication, Advocacy and Partnerships this role is responsible for one or all of writing, editing, proofreading and quality assurance of human-interest stories, copy for photo essays, advocacy briefs, key messages, newsletters, media briefs, press releases, website resource hubs, blogs and social media content in English.
The professional writer and editor is required to provide high-quality editing, proofreading, and writing services for various UNICEF publications and documents, under tight deadlines, as well as quality assurance to ensuring clarity, consistency, and adherence to UNICEF’s style guidelines.
The Consultant will work under the direct supervision of the Communication Specialist at UNICEF South Africa.
