To develop and test a public -private partnership model for expansion of the MCBP in the tea gardens, UNICEF seeks to hire a consultant who will work in close coordination with DWA, Bangladesh Tea Association (BTA) and district/ Upazilla health offices and DWA to provide technical support both at national and sub-national levels. In addition, consultant will also review the feasibility of scaling up of UNICEF supported MCBP Cash plus model in other geographic locations and develop a design document.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Education, the consultant will report directly to the Education Manager (Learning) and will be responsible for the following:
1. Lead the FME, UBEC and other agencies in in the development of Out of School Policy, strategy and implementation plan for Nigeria
2. Support the domestication of the in one state each in the North and South regions of Nigeria.
The Programme Assistant (G5) is positioned in the Programme Section, reporting directly to the Programme Associate. This position carries cross-sectoral functions of programme planning and operations, ensuring seamless coordination between technical teams, operations units, and external partners/service providers.
The Consultant will contribute to the efficient planning and execution of procurement activities, ensuring timely availability
of goods and services necessary for the implementation of project components.
Specifically, the Consultant will: (i) support the preparation and review of procurement plans, tender dossiers, terms of
reference, and technical specifications in line with FAFA agreement signed by UNICEF and EU; (ii) coordinate and follow up
on tendering, evaluation, contracting, and contract management processes with relevant stakeholders; (iii) ensure proper
documentation, record-keeping, and audit readiness of all procurement and contracting files; (iv) provide guidance to the
project team and partners on applicable rules, thresholds, and compliance requirements; (v) monitor contract
implementation, including deliverables, timelines, and payments, and flag any risks or delays; (vi) support financial tracking
and reporting related to procurement activities; and (vii) closely coordinate with project team at UNICEF, implementing
partner/s and UNICEF Brussels Office (EU Development Programs section), regarding compliance and quality assurance.
The Senior Advisor (Economic & Social Policy and Gender Equality) provides strategic leadership to integrate gender equality and adolescent girls' empowerment into economic and social policies, particularly in areas like child poverty reduction and social protection. Through policy advisory, thought leadership, capacity building, and accountability to the Gender Action Plan, the role ensures gender-sensitive approaches are embedded across UNICEF’s programming and partnerships.
