Under the guidance and supervision of the Regional Emergency Specialist (P4), establishes and implements emergency preparedness and response activities across the 24 Country Offices in West and Central Africa Region including through regular travel (50-75% outside of Dakar) and deployments to Country and Field Offices. Responsible for the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency interventions to ensure the survival and well-being of children and mothers, and the affected communities in an emergency situation.
UNICEF Greece Country Office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is implementing two major health programmes aimed at addressing the rising challenges of child obesity and mental health. Communication plays a pivotal role in the success of these initiatives by raising public awareness, engaging key stakeholders, and ensuring accurate information reaches affected communities. The Communication Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing communication strategies that align with the programme goals.
