The national consultant will lead efforts to ensure that Uzbekistan’s updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are child-sensitive, aligning with UNICEF’s global guidance and the NDC Toolkit for Children. Additionally, the consultant will support in modelling and analytical work related to National Adaptation Plan (NAP), Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs), and NDCs.
The consultant will conceptualize and support modeling of a comprehensive, community-based model aimed at prevention of family separation through referral and services to support families with children with special needs and disabilities, and family-based alternative care in Andijan and Tashkent regions. The consultancy will also build the capacity of professionals and caregivers to enhance family- and community-based care, disability-inclusive child protection and development services at the community level.
UNICEF Afghanistan Country Office (ACO) established an Outpost office in Termez in charge of procurement of goods for the programmes and operations of the Country Office as well as to serve as business continuity point.
In partnership with Management of Termez Cargo Center, UNICEF continues to operate the humanitarian logistical hub in Termez city along with other UN agencies and humanitarian actors.
