UNICEF Moldova is launching the Internship call for its Social Policy Unit. This internship position seeks to target youth and to offer opportunities to benefit from a professional experience within a UN agency.
The overall purpose of this assignment is to support Tajikistan in developing a structured, efficient, and environmentally sustainable system for the decommissioning and disposal of outdated Cold Chain Equipment (CCE). As the country transitions to modern and energy-efficient refrigeration technologies, it is essential to ensure that obsolete equipment is safely phased out without disrupting immunization services. This assignment will focus on establishing clear procedures for handling non-functional CCE, managing refrigerants responsibly, and ensuring compliance with international environmental protocols, such as WHO PQS guidelines and the Kigali Amendment.
Under the guidance of the Senior Programme Manager, provide professional technical assistance and support for programme coordination, planning and implementation, and management, especially with regards to integrated and cross-cutting programmes in support of programme goals and objectives.
The Programme Specialist will be expected to work closely across all relevant project teams (Education, WASH, Child Protection, Field Operations and Emergency) and liaison with the field, while also acting as secretariat to statutory programme meetings focusing on the Makanna programme, which is being implemented in multiple states, and possibly other multi-sector programmes / interventions.
UNICEF is looking for an individual national consultant to enhance further development of the platform and ensuring growth in the number of U-Reporters in Uzbekistan by operationalizing new functions of Rapidpro, strengthening collaboration with UNICEF programme sections, RapidPro vendor and young people known as “U-Reporters”, continuing best practices in partnership building and youth engagement.
The national consultant will be helping the MoES and its affiliated institutions to develop a framework for CBE learning materials, develop sample units for selected subjects and grades, and design a financial model to support a sustainable approach to CBE learning materials.
