The Chief, Child Protection reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief is responsible for managing and leading all stages of child protection programmes/projects from strategic planning and formulation to achieving concrete and sustainable contributions to national and international efforts to create a protective environment for children against all harm and to protect their rights to survival, development and well being as established under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, international treaties/frameworks and UN intergovernmental bodies.
The Chief is responsible for leading and managing the child protection section and establishing the plans of action to ensure the achievement of concrete and sustainable programme/project results, according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM), and UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.
The Chief, Health reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief is responsible for managing and leading all stages of health programmes/projects (e.g gender, maternal, neonatal, child survival, emergency preparedness) from strategic planning and formulation to delivery of results.
The Chief of Field Operations and Emergency is accountable for the overall management and administration of the Field Operations and Emergency Section and for oversight and support to ensure timely, effective and efficient programme delivery in the field through sound leadership, supervision and monitoring to achieve measurable results for emergency as well as regular programme response. The incumbent is also accountable to ensure UNICEF cluster leadership for the assigned sectors. The incumbent reports to the Representative and has a supervisory role of Field offices, Emergency preparedness, DRR and response and Cluster coordination.
UNICEF ECARO O/P Istanbul Turkiye, is looking for a highly motivated Regional Staff Counselor at the P4 level who under the supervision of the Regional Director will be expected to provide expertise to UNICEF management and staff of the regional and country offices in Europe and Central Asia and the staff based in UNICEF Geneva; to support the overall well-being of UNICEF staff and their families, as well as teams in UNICEF offices in the region.
