The UNICEF Office in Cameroon is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to be responsible for the development, implementation and management of monitoring and reporting systems for the KOICA funded project (Phase 2) being implemented in the East region of Cameroon.
The Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) portfolio of the Health and HIV Unit, Data and
Analytics Section of UNICEF New York Headquarters maintains and updates the global MNCAH database which is a key
source for country- and regional-level MNCAH data. This database is used by a wide range of stakeholders for activities
related to SDG monitoring, global, regional and country programme planning and policy advocacy. The MNCAH team is
expanding the MNCAH database to align with emerging global health landscape and priorities to include
administrative data, modelled data, and subnational data, and to improve timeliness and availability of the data which
will necessitate strategic enhancements to the global database workflow. In addition to maintaining the global
database, this consultancy will support maintenance and development of data products and data reporting processes
such as SDG monitoring, Strategic Plan reporting, and other global reporting processes related to MNCAH.
The consultancy will provide technical expertise needed to navigate this process successfully under the guidance and
supervision of the Statistics and Monitoring Adviser (MNCAH). Another priority of the team is to support countries in
strengthening health data analytics and data use in decision making through the Actionable Health Analytics for
Decision-making (AHEAD) project which requires additional analytic capacity on the team. The consultancy will
