The Country Office will be receiving over $200 million from the World Bank between 2024 and 2026 to support the humanitarian response programming and system preservation and strengthening of the health, nutrition, and WASH sectors. This role will focus on designing tools and systems to streamline and improve situational reporting (SitRep) and data-driven emergency responses. Collaborating with a small data team and a wider set of stakeholders, the designer will contribute to developing automated visualisations and cost estimation tools for disaster response, as well as supporting high-effort initiatives such as damage assessments for health and education infrastructure to lead and support the design and delivery of user-centred digital solutions.

The Chief WASH reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief is responsible for managing and supervising all stages of the WASH programme from strategic planning and formulation to the delivery of the WASH outcome and output results. The Chief is also responsible for leading and managing the CO WASH team. The Chief WASH is accountable for ensuring that the WASH outcome and output results are achieved according to plans, allocations, results based-management approaches and methodology, UNICEF’s Strategic Plan, standards of performance and accountability framework.
