UNICEF Pacific is hiring an Administrative Associate on fixed term appointment to be based in Tarawa field office in Kiribati. Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief Field Office in Kiribati the Administrative Associate is responsible for executing a broad variety of procedural and specialized administrative tasks for the respective section requiring in-depth knowledge of UNICEF administrative procedures, processes and policies.
UNICEF Pacific is in search of a dedicated and proactive local Consultant for Palau. The purpose of this assignment is to enhance the understanding of the rights of persons with disabilities among key national stakeholders, such as participating UN organizations, government stakeholders, OPDs, and civil society, and additional stakeholders, such as development partners. In doing so, the capacities to implement disability inclusive development approaches in the country and region are strengthened.
Under the general guidance of the Social Policy Manager and in close collaboration with the UNICEF Shock Responsive Social Protection Specailists, MoLSA Social Protection team, and the staff of the implementing partners, the incumbent is responsible for delivering timely beneficiary data management services for implementing UNICEF social and humanitarian cash transfer programming, while upholding UNICEF data protection policies.
The Specialist provides technical and operational support for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation. Through communication and engagement, as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners, and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioral and social change/mobilization. This subsequently contributes to the achievement of sustainable and concrete results in improving children’s rights, survival and wellbeing in the country.
The Chief, Social and Behaviour Change reports to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. The Chief, SBC is responsible for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation. Through the use of appropriate social and behavioural science, as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioral and social change/mobilization. This subsequently contributes to the achievement of sustainable and concrete results on improving children’s rights, survival and well-being in the country.
