The Program Officer (Sub-national Cluster Coordinator) will work impartially, serving the needs of all members of the WASH Cluster and should work closely with the WASH Regional Coordinator (East/South) and/or the Chief of Field Office (in their absence), OCHA focal points, and Local Government counterparts as appropriate.
The objective of the sub-national WASH Cluster is to facilitate and support operational coordination of humanitarian/early recovery actions and plans amongst all local WASH stakeholders at the oblast / region level.
Digital supporter engagement is a critical success factor in achieving UNICEF Indonesia’s Communication (Comms) & Fundraising (FR) goals as well as partnerships, advocacy and programmatic goals. For this purpose, UNICEF Jakarta is looking for Digital Communication Specialist who will lead an integrated team of digital communication and fundraising staff.
Under the supervision of the Education Specialist (Inclusive Education) and with guidance from select regional and country office colleagues, the consultant will provide technical expertise and facilitation to:
1. Update and finalize a programme brief detailing the what and why of inclusive education across the education cycle, starting in early childhood. The brief will explain the underpinning normative frameworks and relevant rationale (including the UN CRPD, UNICEF Education and Disability Inclusion Strategies), key approaches and strategies, current trends and emerging priorities, and FAQs.
2. Develop new guidance on how to operationalize the inclusive education systems framework across the education cycle, including current trends and emerging priorities, with country examples and relevant resources, to guide and illustrate implementation
3. Update and finalize an inclusive education checklist to guide education programme staff to ensure considerations for disability inclusion are hardwired across education programming from the planning stage.
4. Organize and facilitate webinars for UNICEF staff to introduce and disseminate the new resources.
The Global Office of Research and Foresight (GORaF) - UNICEF Innocenti is looking for a Research Specialist - Education who will support implementation and coordination of research activities in Eastern and Southern Africa. The research specialist will 1) provide technical research support to countries in Eastern and Southern Africa region in close collaboration with the Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO) including in the development and uptake of research and evidence into programming, planning and policy. 2) support coordination and research activities for ongoing research programmes active in the region including the Data Must Speak research, Women in Learning Leadership and the new large scale implementation research programme 3) act as a focal point for UNICEF Innocenti in the region and as a key resource person for the What Works Hub for Global Education (WWHGE) strategic partnership, engaging with evidence in education partners at the regional and country levels, and supporting the Research Manager, Education (Systems Strengthening) with partnership engagement at the global level.
