Under the general guidance of Technical Specialist, P3, the consultant will be responsible for disseminating guidance and providing support to Country Offices (COs) to develop sustainability plans for PSA plants installed in countries with the assistance of UNICEF.
Under the general guidance of Contract Manager, P4, the consultant will be responsible for project management of implementation of at least 30 PSA plants and providing guidance to Country Offices (CO) and in-country partners on maintenance of these plants.
The WASH Officer reports to the WASH Specialist who is at level 3. The WASH Officer provides technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process. The Officer prepares, manages and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH output results of the country programme which is focused on provision of lifesaving critical WASH services to the people affected by ongoing war and cholera outbreak.
You will be responsible not only for executing targeted client support services to offices in both development and humanitarian contexts across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region but also for supporting the Regional Chief of People and Culture and senior management in instituting staff sustainable support measures within the existing policy framework and support mechanisms. You are expected to develop original and innovative strategies to address highly complex HR case management issues that deviate from established norms and share lessons learnt with the Humanitarian and Policy teams in the Division of People and culture.
